Introduction to the Blocks and Holders

Here is one block.

There are many activities that you can do with just these blocks!

In addition to the blocks, there are small holders.

The blocks fit into the holders like this.

Here are 7 blocks loaded into the holder.

Each holder has room for exactly 10 blocks. When the 10th block clicks into place, the blocks are locked in. They will not fall out even if you turn the holder over! There is no room for an 11th block.

If you have 10 blocks in a holder, you can put another holder on top and it will lock into place, creating a new bigger block!

This block looks exactly the same as the single block, only it is ten times as large. It is called a block-of-10.

The blocks-of-10 work the same as the single blocks. You can pack them into this bigger holder.

When this holder is full, you can close the top to create an even bigger block. This is a block-of-100.

The pattern continues! You can use this bigger holder to pack ten blocks-of-100 together to create a block-of-1000.
